Ha Noi develops specific tourism products

(TITC) - Aiming to develop specific tourism products of Ha Noi based on thousand-year cultural value, in the coming time, Ha Noi tourism sector will focus on utilizing the advantages of the West Lake and surroundings as well as investing in diversified services in the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake areas.

Accordingly, the West Lake - a scenic attraction bearing the cultural and historic imprints of  the old capital Thang Long - Ha Noi will be developed as a tourism, cultural space.

Ha Noi will operate a wide range of activities on the West Lake such as sailing boats; performing art on the water surface with laser light, fireworks..., linking with historic relics around the lake including Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Tay Ho Temple, Kim Lien Pagoda, Tao Sach Pagoda, Van Nien Pagoda...; and many adjacent traditional craft villages namely Nhat Tan Peach Flower Village, Tu Lien Kumquat Village, Nghi Tam - Yen Phu Ornamental Fish Village, Quang An Lotus Tea Village...

Currently, Ha Noi has offered tours visiting around the West Lake and some nearby relics by tramcars.

Ha Noi Department of Tourism also plans to create new tourism products in the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake areas with shop chains which sell qualified traditional products for tourists, in addition to expanding community spaces where tourists can participate in community activities. It will not only become a focal point of the attraction, but also aim for prolonging length of guests’ stay in Ha Noi Old Quarter.
