VNAT organizes Viet Nam tourism roadshow in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

(TITC) - On December 7, a roadshow to promote Viet Nam tourism took place in Kuala Lumpur. It was part of Viet Nam’s campaign to promote tourism in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

This was also an opportunity for Viet Nam and Malaysia’s tourism companies to share information, seek cooperation and promote bilateral visitors exchange.

Deputy Director General Ha Van Sieu, Vietnamese Ambassador in Malaysia Pham Cao Phong, tourism companies and media agencies attended the event.

According to statistics, total tourists from Malaysia to Viet Nam in 11 months of 2016 reached 359,266 arrivals, up 17% over the same period last year. There are 230 thousand Vietnamese tourists to Malaysia every year.

In order to attract more Malaysian tourists, Viet Nam will develop restaurants serving Malaysia cuisine, and increase airlines connection between key cities of the two countries.

In the roadshow, VNAT introduced Viet Nam tourism potential with special products: marine tourism, ecotourism, cultural tourism, city tours in tourism destinations: Da Nang, Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Phu Quoc, Complex of Hue monuments, Hoi An ancient town, My Son sancturay, Central sector of the imperial citadel of Thang Long – Ha Noi, citadel of the Ho dynasty, Ha Long Bay, Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Trang An landscape complex… Coming to Viet Nam, Malaysia tourists will also have chance to experience traditional foods, shopping, enjoy nightlife in Viet Nam‘s large cities.
