Activities welcoming New Year at Viet Nam National Villages for Ethnic Culture and Tourism

Diverse activities under the theme “Salute 2017 - Delicious food at the beginning of the year” are taking place at the Viet Nam National Villages for Ethnic Culture and Tourism from December 1st, 2016 to January 2nd, 2017.

The month-long event aims to introduce specialties of localities such as Hanoi, northern provinces of Hoa Binh, Ha Giang, Yen Bai and Lang Son, the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, the central province of Ninh Thuan, and several Japan, RoK and Singapore-style foods.

Visitors will experience the gastronomy cultures and enjoy special foods of Muong, Kho Mu, Ede, Tay and Thai ethnic minority groups.

In addition, festivals of the Ede ethnic group of Dak Lak province, and thanks-giving festival of the Dao ethnic group in Ba Vi district, Ha Noi, will be reinstated. There will be folklore performances by ethnic students.

The events help visitors better understand the traditional culture and specific characteristic of ethnic minority groups, contributing to preserving and promoting traditional ethnic cultural values and strengthening cultural exchange among ethnic groups.
