Can Tho - Bangkok direct route launched

The first direct flight route between Can Tho International Airport, Can Tho and Bangkok (Thailand), was officially launched at 9.5 am, on June 27, transporting 179 passengers.

The route is now the only international airport operating at Can Tho International Airport, with the coordination of World Transportation Services JSC (WorldTrans), Can Tho city People’s Committee, Thailand General Administration of Tourism, Vietjet Air, and a number of tourist companies in the Mekong Delta.

Among them, WorkdTrans is the company launching chartered flights between Can Tho and Bangkok and vice versa.

The route uses Airbus 320 planes, with 179 seats and a flight time of 90 minutes. The flight from Thailand departs at 7 am, with the return flight from Can Tho departing at 9 am.

Return tickets, including taxes and fees, cost VND4.8 million. In addition, the tourist companies also offer a 5-day and 4-night tour from Can Tho to Thailand, including airfare, costing VND6.99 million per guest.

The direct route is considered as a breakthrough in air travel in the Mekong Delta.

Can Tho City is currently linked by air to HCMC, Ha Noi, Phu Quoc and Con Dao, as well as Da Nang, Da Lat and Taiwan.
