The number of tourists to the Central Highland province of Dak Lak reached nearly 140,000 during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday 2018, a 20% rise over a year earlier, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Of these, domestic arrivals reached 138,000, grossing a turnover of VND7.577 billion. The favored tourist attractions are Buon Don tourism center, Ko Tam ecotourism, Ako Dhong Village, Dray Nur and Dray Sap Falls, Troh Bur reserve, and Yok Don National Park.
Tourists had chances to visit suspension bridge, ancient stilt houses and ride elephants across the Srepok river. Travel agencies also introduced to tourists gongs culture space, musical instruments, folk games and special dishes of the Central Highland mountain forests such as bamboo-tube rice, Ruou Can (wine drunk out of a jar through tubes), and hemibagrus of Serepok River.
Earlier, in early February 2018, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed restaurants and hotels in Dak Lak to prepare human resources, ensure security and order, publicize price listings, and avoid over-charging in order to provide the best services for tourists.
