Belarus exhibition to display rich heritage of Viet Nam’s handicrafts

An exhibition, showcasing the handicrafts of Viet Nam, will open in Minsk, Belarus, from June 11 to 18, as part of activities under the framework of Vietnamese Cultural Days in Belarus.

The exhibition will be organised by the Viet Nam Culture and Art Exhibition Centre, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At the exhibition, Viet Nam will introduce silk weaving through Ao dai, silk scarves, and silk ribbons, and brocade weaving through ethnic clothing. The exhibition will also feature displays of nearly 50 lacquer products, such as bottles, jewelry boxes, trays, bowls, plates, and lacquer clasps, which shows the handicrafts rich and exquisite beauty.

In addition, the event will showcase nearly 50 bamboo and rattan products and about 20 Bat Trang pottery products.

The exhibition promises to contribute to promoting cultural exchange as well as creating a solid foundation for cooperation on development in many fields between the two countries.

It is also seen as a good opportunity to promote the culture and people of Viet Nam among the people of Belarus in particular and international friends in general.
