International folk games in Ha Noi

Visitors will have an opportunity to study and participate international folk games to be held at Viet Nam Museum of Ethnology in Ha Noi on May 26th and 27th on the occasion of the International Children’s Day (June 1st).


Mandarin Square Capturing

The organizing board will introduce folk games such as Hopscotch (India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Viet Nam), Mandarin Square Capturing (Indonesia, Thailand and Viet Nam), Capture The Flag (Cambodia, Thailand and Viet Nam), and Walking on Coconut Shell (Brunei, Laos and Viet Nam).

Foreign students in Viet Nam will directly instruct and participate in games with tourists.

Representatives from Viet Nam Museum of Ethnology said that this will be a chance for children to study similarities as well as differences in folk games of Viet Nam and other countries in the world. 

In addition, public will understand more about traditional culture of different countries, improving awareness in preserving and promoting cultural heritage.
