Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh: Video clip and art photo contest contributes to promoting Viet Nam tourism, raising social awareness about tourism

(TITC) - On September 24, Vietnam Tourism Photo and Clip Contest Awards Ceremony took place in Ha Noi. These contests launched by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) to enhance Vietnam tourism promotion.
 
Speaking at the event, Chairman of VNAT Nguyen Trung Khanh informed that the photo and clip competitions were held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Vietnam Tourism Industry (1960 -2020) and World Tourism Day (September 27, 2020). The competitions not only contributed to propagating the culture and tourism destinations to domestic and international tourists, but also enrich the photo and clip database for promotion activities.
 
Activities within the framework of the contest have attracted the attention of artists, travelers around Viet Nam and business community and media agencies, thereby contributing to raising awareness of the whole society about the role of tourism.
 
 
With the theme "Explore Vietnam", the Organizing Committee received 15,610 photos from 1,118 photographers, of which 14 foreigners living in Vietnam. The photos depicted a beautiful, diverse of Vietnam tourism with many angles and vivid colors revolving topics such as cuisine, islands, landscapes, cultural heritage, daily life, traditional craft villages, festivals ... The Judges assessed that most of the works have good quality with diverse topics, new perspectives and creativity. It also is the source of hight quality images serving the promotion of Vietnam tourism.
 
 
After rounds of selection, the jury board agreed to award 01 first prize: "Flower boat" by Tran Minh Luong; 02 second prizes: “In the mist" (Nguyen Quang) and "Early mist" (Le Nguyen Huy); 03 third prizes: "Welcoming the sun" (Do Thu Quyen); "Dancer at sea" (Nguyen Tien Trinh ) and "Friendly" (Ton That Tuan Ninh); 05 consolation prizes: "Ba Na Hills - Da Nang" (Huynh Van Truyen); "Train through Le Son Tunnel" (Tran Bao Hoa); "In harmony with nature" (Nguyen Tien Dung),"Moon dance" (Nguyen Quang),"Saigon bread" (Tu The Duy).
 
In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded 02 additional prizes, including 01 photo most liked ("Ancient dance" - Phan Minh Tho) and 01 photo most shared ("Family begging with Y Vinh" - Duong Hoai An) through the vote on facebook of Tourism Magazine. The jury board selected 181 beautiful works including 13 winning photos for exhibition.
 
 
Along with the photo contest, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism also held a clip contest with the theme "VietnamNOW" from May 15 to June 15, 2020, the Vietnam tourism promotion clip contest was held for Vietnamese and international citizens over 18 years old who have traveled to Vietnam.
 
The video clips led the viewer to experience from the highlands with Mu Cang Chai terraced fields; through the cave complex in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Heritage Site, to vibrant life of Ho Chi Minh City; or the lulls and settlements of the ancient capital of Hue and the ancient town of Hoi An...
 
 
Among the entries, the judges selected 11 works to award, namely: Special Prize: Video "Quang Binh - Must go this summer " by author Le Tuyet; First prize: Video "The beauty of Nature, Culture and Humans" (Vu Huong Giang); Second Prize: "Da Lat viewed from above" (Nguyen Dang Viet Cuong), "Hoi An - the ancient city of Vietnam" (Masashi Matsubuchi); Third Prize: "A day in Saigon" (Anh Thu), "Shimmering thousands of colors - Water season in the Northwest" (Ngo Tuan Trung), "Shining the Vietnamese identity" (Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung); Consolation Prize: "On the road of Vietnam" (Marleen Bruwer), "Ta Xua" (Maki Higa), "Inspiring Travelers" (Colin Weiss), "Around Vietnam" (Nguyen Thanh Toan).
