VNAT’s Vice Chairman Nguyen Le Phuc attends tourism stimulation conference of Hoa Binh Province

(TITC) - Recently, in Cao Phong District, the People’s Committee of Hoa Binh Province organised a conference to promote tourism with the theme “Hoa Binh, safe tourism destination - Full experience”. Mr. Nguyen Le Phuc, Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) attended and spoke at the conference.

Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, Standing Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hoa Binh Province stated, from the end of the third quarter of 2021, Hoa Binh has opened the door flexibly to welcome visitors. Up to now, tourist sites, attractions, relics and scenic spots are ready to welcome domestic and international visitors. In addition to supporting businesses to overcome difficulties under the direction of the Government, the province also encourages businesses to carry out stimulation product packages, continue to build and announce new tourist packages, and introduce quality products with reasonable price.

In recent years, Hoa Binh tourism has prospered with many new and high-quality tourist areas and attractions, attracting many visitors with diverse, attractive products imbued with cultural identity of Hoa Binh Province, such as: Ivory Eco-tourism Resort in Luong Son District; Serena Resort in Kim Boi District and eco-tourism destinations such as Bakhan Villa Resort, Mai Chau Hideaway, Avana Retreat (Mai Chau District)...

In the first three months of 2022, the province welcomed more than 900,000 visitor arrivals, and total tourism receipts received nearly VND 950 billion, reaching 37% of the year plan. For the year 2022, the province aims to welcome 2.58 million visitor arrivals, including 100,000 international visitor arrivals, with a total tourism receipts reaching VND 2,400 billion.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Le Phuc, VNAT’s Vice Chairman supposed, Hoa Binh is a locality with many potentials and advantages in developing various diverse types of tourism such as culture tourism, eco-tourism, discovery tourism, wellness tourism, etc. which has been chosen by a massive number of domestic and international visitors. Hoa Binh tourism has shown its initiative to overcome difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic period and has positive results in 2021, welcoming more than 1.4 million visitor arrivals. These are optimistic signals about the strong recovery prospects of Hoa Binh tourism industry in particular and Vietnam tourism in general in 2022, creating a premise for a breakthrough in the following years.

Mr. Phuc highly appreciated Hoa Binh Province for having a mere specific plan and roadmap through the tourism stimulus programme; creating a business connection space, link with localities across the country; building a safe, attractive, qualified and friendly destination of Hoa Binh. He suggested that in the upcoming time, Hoa Binh Province need to focus on implementing a number of solutions to recover the tourism, including: (1) Ensure safe pandemic prevention condition; Improve quality, efficiency and competitiveness ability of Hoa Binh tourism; (3) Adopt policies to encourage and support tourism businesses and tourism service providers in the locality to overcome difficulties and promptly restore business activities to serve visitors; (4) Promote the effectiveness of tourism development linkages among Hoa Binh and other localities; increase linkages among businesses; coordinate with VNAT and localities to promote in domestic and foreign target markets; (5) Prioritise development investment in the field of tourism and services. Establishing mechanisms and policies to attract investment, encourage tourism start-ups, and create favourable conditions for tourism business; (6) Enhance digital transformation in tourism business and management activities, apply smart technology, develop smart destinations, uphold advertising and promotion on digital platforms.

Responding to the tourism stimulus programme in Hoa Binh Province in 2022, many businesses in the province have built stimulus packages with many attractive promotions.
