(TITC) - The Quang Nam's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism recently coordinated with "Strengthening the tourism activities in the inland districts" project of International Labour Organization (ILO) to hold a workshop on tourism business environment in Dong Giang Dist., Quang Nam Province.
The event had the attendance of tour operators, investors, experts of the project and local people.
At the workshop, participants analyzed and evaluated tourism potentials, especially potential of community-based tourism which has been developing in Dong Giang Dist., and difficulties and limitations of tourism development in mountainous area.
Besides aiming to create favorable conditions for investors, the conference also emphasized the preservation, maintenance and promotion of local culture to attract tourists.
Deputy Director of Quang Nam’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Ho Tan Cuong said the locality always gives special priority policies to promote community-based tourism at villages which have enough necessary conditions for tourism development such as Bho Hoong and Dhroong villages...
This workshop was a chance for Quang Nam's tourism managers, policy makers and provincial travel businesses to talk about advantages and difficulties as well as explore tourism development opportunities of the mountainous Dong Giang dist. and other localities of the Province.
