Vietnamese culture shines in Australia
Update: Oct 07, 2013
The Australian capital city of Canberra hosted its 2013 Vietnamese Cultural Festival on October 4.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Hoang Vinh Thanh, hundreds of expatriate Vietnamese students and postgraduates, and numerous international friends gathered to celebrate Vietnamese identity and tradition.

Stalls were arranged to mimic a typical rural market and showcased Vietnamese arts, handicrafts, and cuisine. Vietnamese students exhibited traditional fashion and performed dances.

The organisng board, a combination of the Canberra Vietnamese Student Association and the Australian National University Vietnamese Student Association, noted this year's festival raised funds for victims of the recent floods affecting Vietnam's central region.
