Huong Pagoda festival to open on the sixth day of first lunar month

According to Hanoi’s My Duc district People’s Committee, Huong Pagoda festival 2014, titled “Huong Pagoda – Vietnamese fine traditional culture”, will open on February 5th 2014.

To prepare for this year's festival, the district coordinated with relevant agencies to improve the infrastructure with an investment of VND11 billion.

Landscape ticket is VND50,000 per person, ferry return ticket is VND35,000, telpher ticket is VND140,000.

As scheduled, My Duc district People’s Committee set forth an objective of welcoming one million tourists to the festival. Huong Pagoda is about 75 km southwest of Hanoi’s centre. It is a complex of pagodas, set amidst mountains, forests, lakes and caves, and surrounded by vast green rice-growing plains.

Huong Pagoda festival mainly consists of sightseeing trips to pagodas, temples and caves, as well as visiting ceremonies to ask favours from Lord Buddha.
