As part of the series of activities responding Ha Long Carnival 2014, Ha Long Tourism and Trade Fair kicked off at the Children’s Cultural Palace in Ha Long city in the evening of April 25.
Prominent among those at the opening ceremony was Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thanh.
The event is jointly organized by the Department of Industry and Trade and SHB Vietnam Event Planning JSC.
According to the organizers, the trade fair comprises more than 400 stalls of 350 companies across the country and from Thailand displaying their products.
Most products are from such sectors as food processing, garments and textiles, leather and footwear, electricity generation, electronics, information technology, building materials, interior decor and handicrafts.
Especially, on display are a variety of products of “Quang Ninh province – one commune, one specific product”, a scheme responding to the national target program on the construction of a new countryside in the 2010-2020 period.
The fair showcases the province’s potential exports in expectation of increasing exports and expanding partnership networks.
As scheduled, the fair will last until May 2.
