On show are images which were taken by Italian photographer Gianpaolo Arena, who spent a month to explore the country.

The photos portray Viet Nam’s beauty and the daily life of its people, while also reflecting the country’s efforts in national construction and development, and international integration.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Nguyen Hoang Long underlined the significance of the event, saying that it helps Italian people understand more about Viet Nam, contributing to attracting more tourists to the country.

Apart from Arena, other Italian photojournalists have visited Viet Nam, including Livio Senigaliesi, who completed a photo project with Vietnamese Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin victims, and Maurizio Cofini, who has held three exhibitions featuring his pictures of Vietnamese people in daily life.
