(TITC) - After the U.S prestigious travel website Trip Advisor voted Da Nang as Top Travelers’ Choice Destination On The Rise in the world, Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a press conference to announce information and plan of Da Nang tourism in 2015.

The voting result of Trip Advisor is based on evaluation, positive comments of tourists about attractions, accommodation facilities, restaurants... Accordingly, Da Nang City attracts international tourists thanks to plentiful tourist sites, many beautiful resorts, unique cuisine, reasonable price and friendly people.

Located among 3 world cultural heritage sites of Hue Monuments Complex, Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary, Da Nang owns beautiful natural landscapes, unique urban architecture and diversified culture. Besides, tourists are also attracted by Da Nang cuisine with the flavourful dishes such as Quang noodles, bun cha ca, banh trang cuon thit heo, banh beo, banh xeo… Tourists to Da Nang can enjoy delicious popular dishes with the cost only from USD1 to USD4. On Trip Advisor website, Da Nang now has 122 hotels, 203 restaurants, 74 tourist destinations which tourists comment and upload information, account for the highest number compared with other destinations on the rise. Some attractions in Da Nang received many votes such as Marble Mountains, Linh Ung Pagoda, the bridges of Rong (Dragon), Han River... with sparkling and magical beauty by night.

In particular, Da Nang is considered as a safe destination for tourists. Tourists can find a truthful and peaceful Viet Nam in Da Nang, where tourists are always welcomed with a friendly smile.

Recently, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was also recognized as World’s Leading Luxury Resort 2014 by the World Travel Awards – the award considered as “Oscar Award of the tourism industry”.

These two titles mark the positive development of Da Nang tourism in 2014 and contribute to Da Nang tourism is closer to tourists through the mass media.

Plan of Da Nang tourism in 2015

To strengthen the effect of the titles, in 2015, Da Nang City will implement tourism promotion activities with the message “Da Nang – Top Travelers’ Choice Destination On The Rise”.

Many new tourism products will be launched in 2015 to contribute to diversifying tourism products of the city such as the street specializing in fashion and shopping (on Le Duan Street); Helio recreation complex in south-east park of the city’s monument; Vincom centre in Tran Hung Dao Street; DHC Marina port, floating services and underwater sports club (150m from Dragon Bridge); French villages and history exhibition in Bana Hills. Besides, Da Nang will also put into operation of Monorail high tram car system in Asian Park; public sea sports tourism area, Man Thai sea tourism area and high-class services along Hoang Sa – Vo Nguyen Giap-Truong Sa route…

In 2015, Da Nang will organize many major tourism events such as Da Nang International Fireworks Contest (27 – 28 April); Iron Man 70.3 Viet Nam Contest (10 May); Color Me Run (27 June); “Da Nang - Summer Rendezvous” (June); Da Nang International Marathon Contest (August)… At the same time, the city focus on community events and festivals such as water-skiing on the Han River, street music, cuisine – culture festival, festival for foreign community in Da Nang and events towards developing sustainable, raising awareness of local people and visitors on environmental protection and efficient and saving use of resources.

Beside events and activities, Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate with units to improve the quality of tourism services; deal with tourist solicitation in some attractions; maintain rescue teams in the beaches; check the quantity and improve the service quality in the public toilets, parks and tourist sites; strengthen inspection to ensure safe tourism business environment. In particular, the department continues to propagandize to improve awareness of people on creating the image of friendly and hospitable Da Nang and making a good impression for tourists.
