First Chinese visitors travel to Nha Trang by air
Update: Jan 29, 2015
The first flight of China’s regional Sichuan Airlines from Chengdu landed in the Cam Ranh International Airport in central Khanh Hoa province at 1:25 pm on January 27.

The flight, coded 3U 8703, carried nearly 200 Chinese passengers to the city of Nha Trang for vacation.

As scheduled, Sichuan Airlines will operate two flights each week, on Tuesday and Friday, bringing Chinese visitors to the coastal city’s beaches, landscapes and historic relic sites.

The new flight route is part of collaborative efforts between Ha Noi-based Viet Nam Tourism Joint Stock Company and the Chinese carrier.

The provincial Tourism Association urged local tourism enterprises to expand their connection with foreign agencies from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, the Republic of Korea and Japan in a bid to bring a more diverse group of travellers to Nha Trang City.
