It has just been announced that cruise ships will be delivering 7,180 passengers to Viet Nam’s shores in the six day period leading up to March 12, providing a good start for the new tourism season.
Highlights of the Cruise Ship Schedule include:
The Costa Atlantica with 1,000 Chinese tourists, Mariner of the Seas with 1,980 passengers from the US, EU, China, Canada and Australia and the Celebrity Century with 2,100 visitors from the US, UK, Australia and Canada are scheduled to dock in Viet Nam on March 7, 9 and 10 respectively.
They will visit popular tourist destinations in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City and My Tho.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the cruise passengers will tour the Sai Gon Notre-Dame Basilica, Thong Nhat Palace, Sai Gon Central Post Office, Saigon Museum, the Cu Chi tunnel complex, Sai Gon Zoo and Botanical Garden and watch a water puppet theatre performance.
From Ho Chi Minh City, they will travel to My Tho to visit fishing ports, coconut candy factories, bee farm, and enjoy honey tea and fruits as well as enjoy the traditional music ofthe locality.
They will then travel to Vung Tau to join sightseeing tours and discover the winemaking traditions of local people. The Royal Caribbean Cruise's luxury cruise ship Celebrity Millennium, carrying 2,100 foreign visitors from the US, UK, Australia and Canada will dock in Vung Tau on March 8.
From Vung Tau, the tourists’ itinerary lists tours to Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue, Hai Phong and Ha Noi. The trip is scheduled to finish on March 13.
