Sa Pa is home to stunning mountain landscapes, verdant rice terraces, unique stilt villages and Indochina peak, the Fansipan. The most prominent attraction in the town of Sa Pa is Fansipan, which is the highest mountain in Viet Nam and it is only 19km from town.
Tourists may have been once suggested to visit Hoang Su Phi in the harvest season in autumn to admire the endless glistening yellowish color of terraced rice fields. However, in June when the rainy season has come, excursionists are advised to prepare their packs and rush to Ha Giang Province to see another beautiful view of Hoang Su Phi.
