Ha Tinh province has promulgated Plan No.486/KH-UBND about organizing Nguyen Du Culture & Tourism Week from November 15 to December 5.
The event marks the 250th birthday anniversary of the great Vietnamese poet Nguyen Du. Organizing time: On November 15 - December 05, 2015.
During the ceremony, many activities will be organized such as displaying the tale of Kieu (Truyen Kieu in Vietnamese), poem recitals and literary masterpieces by Nguyen Du which translated into more than 20 languages; screening documentary films about Nguyen Du’s life, career and family; and organizing the award ceremony of the sixth Nguyen Du Literature and Arts.
The event comprises some outdoor activities such as tourism, Kieu performing activity to serve tourist to the land.
The Week is a coordinating activity among Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ha Tinh Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Management Board of Nguyen Du relic site, Center for Cinema Culture, the Museum, Nguyen Du College of Culture and Tourism and Nghi Xuan district.
Great Vietnamese poet Nguyen Du was born in 1765 in Tien Dien village, Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh who was recognized as one of the world’s cultural celebrities by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for his the tale of Kieu and literary masterpieces.
