Spanish experts help develop Hue’s tourism master-plan

A group of Spanish experts are on a visit to the central city of Hue to help outline a master plan regarding the development of the tourism industry in the city.

On Nov. 14, 2008 the experts held a working session with the leaders of Hue city and Thua-Thien Hue province where they reported on the results of their recent local survey.

They stressed the city’s tourism potentials, including tangible and intangible cultural values, and looked at other factors that could transform the city into a major tourism centre in Vietnam.

The Spanish experts expressed their hopes to receive pro-active cooperation from local authorities so that they can deliver a good plan on schedule.

Local leaders expressed their thanks to the Spanish Government for its official development assistance to the project, which will help the city to boost its socio-economic development.

The Spanish Government provided EURO 150,000 for the project.
