Connecting tourism products to the blue ocean in Phu Yen

On the evening of July 14, the opening ceremony of the Tourism Promotion and Connection Festival between Tuy Hoa and 4 Central Highland cities: Pleiku (Gia Lai), Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak), Kon Tum (Kon Tum), Gia Nghia (Dak Nong), with the theme "Reminiscent about Pleiku even though one is still in town" took place in April 1 Square, Tuy Hoa City.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Do Viet Hung Pleiku City People's Committee Chairman emphasized: The festival of promoting and connecting tourism with the theme "Reminiscent about Pleiku even though one is still in town" was organized in Tuy Hoa City in a time of special significance, when we are making efforts to implement Resolution 82/NQ-CP dated May 18, 2023 of the Government on the main tasks and solutions to accelerate the recovery and accelerate the development of effective and sustainable tourism. This is an activity to concretize the connection in the tourism development cooperation program between Pleiku, Buon Ma Thuot, Kon Tum, Gia Nghia, and Tuy Hoa.

Welcoming honored guests, businesses, and tourists who traveled to Tuy Hoa coastal city during the festival, comrade Cao Dinh Huy, People's Committee Tuy Hoa Chairman, said that in recent years, the city has been planned and invested with the goal of becoming a new gateway to the East Sea of the Central Highlands. The upgraded roads have created favorable conditions for shortening the travel time from the Central Highlands provinces to Phu Yen. With these potentials and advantages, the tourism promotion festival will serve as a bridge in the future to expand the tourism industry in Tuy Hoa and other cities in the Central Highlands. 

The festival is being held to draw attention to, introduce, and promote the land, culture, people, and tourism potentials and strengths of Phu Yen province and the Central Highlands provinces in general, and Pleiku, Buon Ma Thuot, Kon Tum, Gia Nghia, and Tuy Hoa in particular, in order to attract investors and strengthen the tourism brands of each locality. Simultaneously, creating conditions for investors and tourism enterprises to meet, exchange, cooperate in business, supply and exchange tourism products to create value-added chains, and connect tourism between cities to develop together.

During the three-day festival in April 1 Square (Tuy Hoa City), localities and businesses will introduce and promote tangible and intangible cultural values, tourism products, and special OCOP products in the region. Simultaneously, it will also spread the message of green tourism, protecting the ocean and forest environments, and preserving and promoting traditional cultural values to friends and visitors.

The art program at the opening ceremony was performed by artists from Gia Lai and Phu Yen, highlighting the typical cultural beauty of the Central Highlands, the homeland of martial epic poetries, long songs, gong culture, the representative cultural heritage of humanity and plenty of a culture imbued with national identity. The art performances also introduce the wild and charming beauty of the blue sea, white sand, and golden sunshine, Tuy Hoa city's tourism strengths in particular, and Phu Yen in general
