METRO Cash & Carry promotes Italian food
Update: Jun 21, 2009
To coincide with Italian Days in Vietnam 2009, METRO Cash & Carry is running a promotion called “Made in Italy - Made Easy” at its wholesale centers from June 11 to 24 to introduce fine Italian food to restaurant professionals.

Restaurant and hotel operators will be able to try authentic Italian dishes prepared by METRO chefs from genuine Italian ingredients like Ambrosi cheeses and hams. No Italian feast is without wine; METRO will offer Bersano and Lungarotti to round off the Italian party.

“All over Italy, from the Alps to the Mediterranean, people can find the products of thousands of years of tradition and the specialties which exist only there. The miracle of Italy is that all these treasures are found together in a magnificent country. And now these treasures can be found in METRO,” Randy Guttery, managing director of Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam, said in a statement.

There are two sides of Italian cuisine: traditional and innovative. In recent years, several fabulous restaurants representing both have opened in HCMC. Italian cuisine has become a fancy to both the hospitality industry and family kitchens.

METRO Cash & Carry is a favorite choice for international hotel and restaurant staff to purchase ingredients as it maintains a full stock of the right kinds of foods.

METRO Cash & Carry Vietnam opened its first wholesale store in 2002. Today the company has 8 wholesale centers in HCMC, Hanoi, Haiphong, Danang and Cantho.
