The Vietnam Record Book Centre (VietKings) has stated it will promulgate 100 records of Thang Long – Hanoi capital on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary in 2010.

To prepare for this event, VietKings has collected data and invited historians and researchers on Hanoi to participate in choosing the 100 records for Hanoi.

The centre has received 300 suggestions for records in the fields of culture, history, nature, science, art, politics, military and diplomacy... However, VietKings will only choose 100 outstanding historical and cultural records to promulgate on the 1000th great anniversary and update some new records following the capital’s enlargement.

It is said that among the 100 records of Hanoi, there will be records like the man who opened the first silver casting enterprise in Vietnam, the most unique military vowing ceremony in Vietnam and the first creator of coracle in Vietnam…

The record promulgation ceremony is scheduled for September 2010 at the Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), Hanoi.
