VietHotel International Exhibition 2009 opens

VietHotel International Exhibition 2009 has taken place at National Convention Centre in Hanoi from September 24 to 26. This is the international exhibition on hospitality industry, equipments, foods, wines and types of beverages in Vietnam organized by AMB Events – Malaysia Company and Department of Hotel under Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

Along with two specific exhibitions of VietFine Food and VietWine for experts in the hospitality industry and staffs in hotels, restaurants, service suppliers and food industry only, the VietHotel Exhibition is organized first in Hanoi by the experts and officials in the hospitality industry; senior authorities; leaders of large associations; chefs and F&B managers in Vietnamese leading hotels. They exchange and contribute their ideas to make the exhibition professional and achieve international standard.

The exhibition attracts over 200 enterprises from over 30 countries over the world. Of which, there are the leading enterprises of France, Japan, Germany… and the Vietnamese large enterprises such as: Metro Vietnam, Ca Tam Caviar, Cai Lan, Hung Tri, Tan Khoa… These enterprises recommend their services, latest products and solutions for the enterprises in the hospitality industry. Attending the exhibition, the enterprises have opportunities to seek food, wine, beverage sources and develop their business network.

In the framework of the exhibition, there is a conference on information system for the hospitality industry named “Innovative solutions for cost savings and efficiency in the hospitality industry”. The conference shares experiences and the best solutions of management for the hospitality industry, provides information and up-to-date technologies to raise business effect and reduce cost in the main fields.

In addition, the exhibition also have many attractive activities such as:

- Vietnam national culinary competition: over 20 Vietnamese leading chefs compete in fruit and ice carving, Vietnamese and European dishes cooking

- Vietnam national barista competition: marks a revolution in the advancement of coffee making and appreciation in Vietnam

- Vietnam national bartender competition: aims to create a greater focus on the professionalism of bartenders in Vietnam

- Vietnam international wine competition: this is a unique event and the first of its kind for Vietnamese with awards such as: wine knowledge; best wine produced in the world. These awards are assessed by the European famous experts in Vietnam.
