Vietnam attends international culinary contest
Update: Jun 07, 2012
Chef at Hanoi's Metropole Hotel Do Chi Cong will represent Vietnam at the international culinary competition, the Bocuse d'Or Asia, which will take place in Shanghai, China, from June 12-14, announced the organisers on June 5 in Hanoi.

Cong won first prize at the national Bocuse d'Or competition, held in Khanh Hoa province last year.

The Bocuse d'Or Vietnam team includes instructor Andre Bosia, President of Bocuse d'Or Vietnam Didier Corlou, chef Cong and his assistant Ta Thi Ha Ly.

The Asian contest will select the four most talented chefs to go forward to the final held Lyon in France in January next year.

Since 1987, the Bocuse d'Or contest has been giving young chefs a unique opportunity to demonstrate their skills, offering them a tremendous springboard for their careers. Today, Bocuse d'Or is the most highly regarded culinary competition in the world.
