Vietnam Airlines operates new passenger terminal in Tuy Hoa civil airport

Starting August 20, the Vietnam national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will operate a new passenger terminal on the east side of the new Tuy Hoa civil airport, Phu Thanh ward, Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province.
Staffs from Tuy Hoa branch of Vietnam Airlines, between August 20-31, are expected to assist passengers as best they can with check in & check out, luggage claim, and boarding services.

Now the airline is operating 12 flights to/from Tuy Hoa airport weekly, including 5 flights on Hanoi - Tuy Hoa route and 7 flights on Ho Chi Minh city - Tuy Hoa route, using ATR72 aircraft (68 seats).

All sections of this new passenger terminal such as hangers for three A320 and A321 aircraft, a drainage system, a lighting system and other related features, have been invested with around VND353 billion by the Southern Airports Corporation (SAC). Covering 3,800 square metres, it was built to meet 4C grade standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organisation.

Tuy Hoa civil airport has been designed to serve 555,000 passengers per year, and cope with 300 passengers per hour at peak times. By 2022, the airport will increase its capacity to welcome 850,000 passengers per year.
