Lam Kinh historical Site recognized as a Special National Relic

(TITC) - In the framework of Lam Kinh Festival 2013, on 26th Sep.2013, at Lam Kinh historical Site in Tho Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa Province organized the ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing Lam Kinh historical Site as a Special National Relic.

 

In attendance were Mr Nguyen Thien Nhan - Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; many senior officials of the Government, Central, Thanh Hoa Province, neighboring provinces and thousands of locals and tourists.

 

On behalf of the Party and State, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan awarded Thanh Hoa the certificate recognizing Lam Kinh historical and architectural Site as a Special National Relic. Speaking at the ceremony, he emphasised: “the fact that Lam Kinh is named Special National Relic reflects the current Vietnamese generations' gratefulness to their predecessors' devotion and sacrifice in the struggle against foreign invaders, the protection of national sovereignty and independence and national construction; and also shows the importance of the State and Party's sound policies to preserve and uphold national cultural heritage values”. He also hoped that Thanh Hoa people would always protect national cultural heritage Sites and contribute to national construction.

 

Many interesting activities took place at the event such as thurification ceremony, art performances, folk dances...

 

The Lam Kinh Festival 2013 was organized on an unprecedented scale in order to receive the certificate recognizing Lam Kinh historical Site as a Special National Relic and also to commemorate the 595th anniversary of the Lam Son uprising, 585th anniversary of King Le Thai To's coronation and the 580th death anniversary of national hero Le Loi.
