Club on outbound tours to Japan launched
Update: Dec 17, 2013
The Vietnam Society of Travel Agents (VISTA) on December 15 launched Japan Outbound Travel Club, including 24 international travel agencies which bring Vietnamese tourists to Japan.

The club is expected to expand the market, increase the number and improve the quality of services for Vietnamese tourists visiting Japan. In addition, it will contribute to boosting economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries through promoting Japanese tourism to Vietnam and bringing Vietnamese tourists to Japan.

Mr Vu The Binh, Deputy Head of VISTA, said that the number of Japanese tourists to Vietnam has rocketed at 600,000 arrivals. Currently, Japan is becoming a new destination for Vietnamese tourists at growth rate of 20 percent per annum. In 2012, some 57,000 Vietnamese tourist arrivals visited Japan.

Aiming to carry out a cooperative programme for tourism development between Vietnam and Japan, the association will build a representative office for Vietnamese travel agencies in Japan to achieve the target of greeting 1 million Japanese tourists to Vietnam and receiving 200,000 Vietnamese tourists to Japan by 2015.
