The Ladies Association representing 10 ASEAN countries held a food and fashion fair in Washington DC, the US, on June 21 to raise funds for the victims of natural disasters in their member countries.
This annual activity aims to increase friendship, solidarity and mutual understanding amongst member countries and introduce ASEAN’s cultural identity to the US.
During the event, representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy introduced traditional Vietnamese dress (ao dai) and typical Vietnamese food, especially spring rolls, to portray the country’s cuisine to the global community.
