Taking part in the fair were nearly 200 cultural, entertainment and sporting organisations displaying their products and services at 90 stands. It attracted over 4,000 visitors, mainly from the Dutch cities of Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht.

With support from the city’s authorities, the fair was also attended by a number of overseas agencies and representatives from the Vietnamese, Cuban, Chinese, Indonesian, Egyptian, UK, US, Bolivian and Irish communities in Holland who came to present and advertise the culture, arts, sports and cuisine of their home countries.

The Vietnamese embassy in Holland spotlighted two publications on Vietnam at the fair which featured the nation’s countryside, its people and socio-economic situation. They also contained information on the measures Vietnam introduced to overcome the impacts of the global financial crisis, its foreign policies and the activities that will be held to celebrate the millennium anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi.

On the occasion, The Hague Online Organisation got together with the Vietnamese embassy to publish 15,000 pamphlets about the fair which included a section on Vietnam.
