The 18th Red River Delta Region Fine Arts exhibition opened on August 26 in the northern province of Bac Ninh.
The exhibition showcases 345 paintings, graphic works, sculptures and installations by 310 artists from the Vietnam Fine Arts Association (VFAA) and Literature and Arts Associations in the provinces of Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Hung Yen and Ninh Binh.

The exhibits feature the beauty of the region's landscapes and people and Vietnam's sovereignty over sea and islands.

In the opening ceremony, the VFAA presented one A, one B and one C prizes to three outstanding works by Cu Cao Khai from Ninh Binh and Nguyen Van Thuat and Vu Binh Minh from Bac Ninh, respectively.

The exhibition, which runs through September 3, is held to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and Vietnamese National Day (September 2). It also promotes the Vietnamese fine arts, which actively contributes to building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with the national identity.
