Ho Chi Minh City attracted 3.22 international visitor arrivals in 10 months of 2013

(TITC) – According to Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in 10 months of 2013, total international visitor arrivals to the city reached 3.22 million, increasing by 4% over the same period last year, reaching 79% of the plan in 2013.

In particular, the international visitor arrivals to Ho Chi Minh City in October 2013 estimated 419,650, increasing by 9% over the same period last year. Of which, the international visitor arrivals by air were 338,800, up by 10%.


Tourism receipts (including restaurants, hotels, travel service) in October reached VND 6,651 billion, up by 20% over the same period of 2012, contributing to the total receipts of VND 69,933 billion, increasing by 20% over the same period last year and reaching 86% of the plan in 2013.

According to Mr. La Quoc Khanh, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the prices of the stimulus programs were reduced from 35% to 40% owing to the tight coordination between industrial service suppliers such as airlines, hotels, restaurants...
