Opening the Conference “Golden time to discover Vietnamese beauty” to promote domestic tourism

(TITC) - The conference “Golden time to discover Vietnamese beauty” was organized by Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Private Economic Development Research Board (Board IV of the Advisory Council on Administrative Procedures Reform of the Prime Minister), VnEpress Online Newspaper, the Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) and Bamboo Airways on 16 May 2020 in Sam Son, Thanh Hoa Province.
Speaking at the conference, VNAT’s Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh reviewed the world and Vietnam tourism since the beginning of 2020, stating: When the Covid-19 epidemic broke out globally, travel activities and air transportation has stalled. Vietnam's tourism industry has temporarily “frozen” while we focus on disease control.
 
 
Currently, the epidemic have basically been contained in our country. In order to implement Directive No.19/CT-TTg dated 24 April 2020 of the Prime Minister on continuing to take measures to prevent Covid-19 epidemic in the new situation, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched the program “Vietnamese people to travel Vietnam”. The implementation period is from June to December 2020.
 
The target of the program “Vietnamese people to travel Vietnam” is to implement solutions to stimulate domestic tourism demand; to encourage and facilitate people to travel to regions of the country.
 
 
At the conference, Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh emphasized “This is a golden time to revive the domestic tourist market”. He suggested localities, businesses and communities to actively respond to the program "Vietnamese people to travel Vietnam"; implement measures to stimulate domestic tourism; encourage and facilitate people to travel to different regions of the country.
 
 
In the context that most countries in the world are still struggling with the Covid-19 pandemic, the stimulation of domestic tourism at the present time is very important, helping to revive the operation of the industry in general and tourism businesses in particular.
