Hanoi’s mid - autumn festival in Vietnamese - Japanese colour

“Vietnamese-Japanese Mid-Autumn Festival 2009” will be held at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology from September 25 - 27. The event is a good opportunity for cultural exchanges between Vietnam and Japan.

The event is jointly sponsored by the Kyushu National Museum, the Japanese Center for Culture Exchange in Vietnam and the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.

In addition to traditional Vietnamese activities like dragon dance, stilt walking, and water puppetry, there will be Japanese arts such as yosakoi dance, origami, and kimono shows.

On opening day, 100 gifts will be presented to children from selected villages and charitable vocational training centers. Children can also take part in various games and activities at the museum.
