(TITC)- ITB Travel Trade Show 2013 was opened in the Germany's capital city of Berlin on March 6.
Lasting from 6 to 10 March, the event drew about 170 thousand visitors including 110 thousand sellers, buyers and tourism businesses. The world's leading travel trade show attracted the participation of over 10,000 tour operators, booking systems, carriers, hotels and other suppliers from 188 countries and territories over the world.
Addressing at the opening ceremony, German Chancellor Angela Merkel considered ITB "a gate to the world". She expressed her hope that the exhibitors would win many contracts and attract lots of visitors to their booths.
Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, Vietnam Airlines and 26 famous tourism businesses including Saigontourist, Hanoitourist, Thang Loi Hotel... attended the event and organized a 142m2 booth to introduce special tourism products of Viet Nam.
