The national photo exhibitions with the theme "Discovering the Red River civilization" and "Homeland's sea and island" to come

(TITC) - From August 28th to September 6th 2013, at the Hai Phong Centre for Fine Arts Exhibition, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize the National Photo exhibition with the theme "Discovering the Red River civilization" and the exhibition of Composer Camp with the theme "Homeland's sea and island". The events will be held to welcome the National Independence Day (September 2) and the National Tourism Year in Red River Delta - Hai Phong 2013.

 

 

 

The exhibition on "Discovering the Red River Civilization" will be organized by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition (the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in collaboration with Hai Phong's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Viet Nam Association of Photographic Artists. After launching for over 3 months (from March 21st to end of June 2013), the Organizing Board received 2,902 entries of 286 authors from 35 provinces and cities in the country, of which 162 photos are selected to display at the exhibition to introduce to people within the country and abroad the life, culture, people, landscape of the provinces in the Red River Delta.

 

In addition, the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition will co-ordinate with the Hai Phong's People's Committee to organize the exhibition of Composer Camp with the theme "Homeland's sea and islands". The Composer Camp was held from 9th to 16th May 2013 attracting the participation of 20 photographers with 716 entries. The entries introduced the daily activities of naval soldiers in Cat Ba, Do Son, Thuy Nguyen... The Organizing Board selected 153 photos to display at the exhibition.

 

The two exhibitions with theme "Discovering the Red River Civilization" and "Homeland's sea and islands" will contribute to the promotion of image of Viet Nam to domestic and international tourists.
