Cultural Heritage Tourism Week of ethnic groups in Ha Giang Province 2013

(TITC) - From 19th to 23rd November 2013, People's Committee of Ha Giang Province will organize Cultural Heritage Tourism Week of ethnic groups in Ha Giang Province 2013 in districts of Quang Binh, Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Meo Vac and Dong Van. The event aims to honor the values of Ha Giang's intangible cultural heritage forms recognized as national intangible cultural heritage forms and contribute to preserving and promoting their values in the province.

The highlight of Cultural Heritage Tourism Week of ethnic groups in Ha Giang Province 2013 is the opening ceremony which will be held at 20h on 19th November 2013 at Quang Binh District's Stadium with theme "Quang Binh love" and broadcasted live on Viet Nam Television. Previously, also on 19th November, visitors will enjoy many impressive art programs; participate in special folk games and festivals; and experience to wave brocade with Pa Then ethnic people in My Bac Hamlet, Tan Bac Commune, Quang Binh District.

In the framework of the tourism week, from 20th to 23rd November 2013, many other diversified activities will take place such as: cap sac rite of Dao ethnic group in Nam Dam Hamlet, Quan Ba Commune, Quan Ba District; Gau tao festival of Mong ethnic group in Yen Minh Town, Yen Minh District; re-enacting of New Year ceremony (Drum dance festival) of Giay ethnic group and folk art exchange programs among ethnic groups...

 

Joining in Tourism Week of Cultural Heritage of ethnic groups in Ha Giang Province 2013, visitors will have opportunity to explore diversified and unique natural, geological, cultural values of Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geological Park such as: Quan Ba Twin Mountains, Ma Pi Leng Pass, Lung Cu Flag Tower, Vuong Family's Palace, Dong Van Old Quarter. Visitors will be enjoyed a lot of featured dishes of ethnic minority groups in Dong Van Plateau  such as corn wine, thang co, men men, sausages ...

 

In addition, visitors will also have chance to visit many destinations including landscapes, caves, ethnic minority cultural villages in the north mountainous districts of Dong Van Plateau such as Nam Dam Cultural - Community-based Tourism Village in Quan Ba Commune, Quan Ba District; Lo Lo ethnic group's Tourism Village in Meo Vac District; Na Luong Cave in Mau Long Commune, Yen Minh District...

 

Through Tourism Week of Cultural Heritage of ethnic groups in Ha Giang Province 2013, Ha Giang can introduce unique cultural identity of ethnic minority groups and promote tourism products as well as local tourism development potentials to domestic and international visitors.
