Update: Jul 15, 2014
Fifty-five foreign and 30 domestic delegations have registered to take part in the fifth International Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival, which will be held in the central province of Binh Dinh on August 1-4.

The information was released by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism at a press conference in Hanoi on July 14.

Deputy Minister Huynh Vinh Ai said that the festival aims to honour the country’s traditional cultural values as well as promote the image of Viet Nam, particularly Binh Dinh province - one of the cradles of the traditional Vietnamese martial arts, to the world.

It will also offer a venue to domestic and international martial arts groups to meet and exchange their experience.
A street festival, a photo exhibition and a cuisine festival will be held during the event, together with a series of art performances.

The Vietnamese martial arts are being practised in approximately 50 countries worldwide.
